This policy explains how Floriarte Guest House handles the personal data of people who visit the website, contact us and stay at the house, under Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709/2018 — LGPD).

- Controller: Floriarte Guest House, Rua dos Canudos, 321, Ingleses Norte, Florianópolis/SC, 88058-560, Brazil.

Data processed on the website
- This website has no forms that store data: the contact form only builds a message and opens WhatsApp on your device.
- The dates and number of guests you search for are sent to the booking engine (HQBeds) to show availability.
- The website host logs technical access data (such as IP address and browser) for security and operation.
Booking and stay data
- To book and host you: name, contact details, dates, number of guests, preferences and booking history.
- At check-in, the data required by Brazil’s national guest register (FNRH), such as ID document, nationality, address, trip origin and destination (Law No. 11,771/2008 and Ministry of Tourism rules).
- Online payments are processed by the booking engine and its payment provider; Floriarte does not store full card details.
- Images from the monitoring system in common areas, for the safety of guests and the house.
Messages
- WhatsApp, Instagram and email conversations are used to reply, arrange your booking and provide the service.
- Promotional messages (such as open dates and news) are only sent with your consent, and you can opt out at any time.
Purposes and legal bases
- Performing the booking and stay (performance of a contract and pre-contractual steps).
- Complying with legal obligations such as guest registration and tax rules (legal obligation).
- Safety of people and the house, fraud prevention and running the website (legitimate interest).
- Measurement and advertising cookies and promotional messages (consent).
Who we share data with
- Providers that run services for us: property management and booking engine (HQBeds), payment providers, website hosting and, with consent, Google and Meta.
- Platforms you booked through (Booking.com, Airbnb, Hostelworld, agencies), which have their own policies.
- Partners for services you choose (tours, transfers, laundry), only with the data needed.
- Public authorities, when required by law.
- We do not sell personal data.
International transfers
- Some providers (such as Google and Meta) may store data outside Brazil, with the safeguards required by the LGPD.
How long we keep data
- For as long as needed for the purposes above and for legally required periods (for example, guest registration and tax obligations). After that, data is deleted or anonymised.
- Monitoring footage is kept only as long as needed for security, unless an incident needs to be investigated.
Children and adolescents
- Data about minors is only processed when they stay with their parents or guardians, in their best interest and based on information provided by those adults.
Security
- We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures, such as restricted system access and providers that use secure connections (HTTPS).
Your rights
- You can request confirmation of processing, access, correction, anonymisation, blocking or deletion, portability, information about sharing, and withdraw consent (LGPD art. 18) through the channels above.
- You may also complain to Brazil’s National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).
Changes
- This policy may be updated. The current version date is shown at the top of this page.
